Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
You don't know what you got till it's gone. Both cutesy sayings that are true in many aspects, not just relationships. I'm thinking of food. More than that, the temporary absence of something really makes you appreciate it when it's back. I enjoyed meats and sweets, orange juice and hot tea, this week. Now I am ready to head back into another week of the Daniel Fast and it just feels right to have taken the week off in between. A family member called asking me to fast with them this coming week, not knowing that I had already planned to do so. And their request for an extended family member's health is heavy on my heart. So my reasons for fasting are continually in flux as the Lord brings in what He desires to do through the fast. I just have to be ready and willing to claim it and release it. Hosea 10:12-Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; FOR IT IS TIME TO SEEK THE LORD, until He comes and showers righteousness on you.
